Free In-Home CareAssessment in New York City
COHME has a dual mission: superior, compassionate care for our clients, and excellent jobs with real support for the people who provide it. If you want an employment home where you are known, supported, and helped to grow, you belong here.
A Non-Profit That Cares for Its Caregivers

COHME was founded in 1984 by a social worker who saw that home health aides weren't getting the support they needed to do their best work. She built an agency to change that, and four decades later it is still the way we operate: when caregivers are supported and respected, clients receive better, more compassionate care.
That is why COHME aides stay. We retain 85% of our home health aides year over year, in an industry where most agencies lose more than half their caregivers annually. Caregivers tell us they signed up with other agencies but really want to work for COHME, because they know we support our people.

What Our Aides Say
One of our aides recently completed nursing school and is preparing to return
to COHME as a Registered Nurse. That is what the dual mission looks like when
it works: a scholarship fund, real support, and a career that grows here.
It has been a pleasure working for COHME Inc. for the past five years. They have done so much for me. I have only good things to say about my employer.
